Gain a deeper understanding of your body through movement, wellness and meaningful self care practices to live more comfortably and confidently in your body.
I'm Michaela. My goal is to educate and empower people to learn about their bodies by offering accessible, tangible techniques to improve their health through movement, nutrition and wellness.
I believe that our bodies are a source of wisdom. Blending science with self awareness and intuition offers the knowledge and tools needed to build self compassion and increase your capacity to nourish, heal and live your most genuine life.
I’m passionate about equipping adults and older adults with a safe and sustainable practice to move through life with more ease and confidence.
No matter what is happening in my life, I feel better after taking Michaela's class. The freshness of her approach combined with her clear instruction and close observation of students makes each class fun, innovative, and challenging. Strong and steady flow is exactly what it sounds like. Slowing down feels amazing on multiple levels (don't underestimate the impact of actively practicing relaxation) and it's more demanding physically than you might think.
I was quite nervous about starting class due to injuries, but I am so glad I tried! Michaela is extremely sensitive to our bodies and always looking to keep us safe from injury. Modifications are always offered to enable maximum benefit at any stage of ability. I would encourage anyone who is hesitant to take a leap of faith! You could not find yourself in better, gentler, or more knowledgable hands.
I am always excited for Michaela’s class, knowing something different will be worked into it. She always has something thoughtful and arduous (in the best way) up her sleeve. I trust Michaela’s knowledge implicitly to lead me to a good place. Her style isn’t showy or about her, she is funny, approachable and genuinely concerned about helping people. Since practicing with Michaela I am physically stronger, more confident and always wanting to learn!
One of my favorite parts of every class is when she wraps each class up with a reminder to thank ourselves for spending the time to care for ourselves and to thank our bodies for all that they do for us every day. I now practice this gratitude on my own on a daily basis. Michaela encourages me to expand my horizons of self-care. She models this for us as a teacher who remains a student herself. I have become more grateful, not only towards myself but also to the little things around me.
